Sterling Automotive Group is hiring! We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in serving Acadiana and being a part of a successful family-owned and operated business. Our Parts Counterperson is responsible for assisting all mechanics and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies. The individual is also responsible for achieving monthly sales and gross forecasts and for seeking out and soliciting business. The Parts Counterperson reports directly to the Parts Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities : Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish Communicate with customers on parts status, both in person and over the phone Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner Learn our online parts catalog system and be able to accurately calculate estimates Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information Reviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate Pulls and fills orders from stock Maintain a weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up Do you have what it takes?  We are looking for a team player who is ready to hit the ground running on learning our processes, programs, and business needs The ideal candidate must be coachable, have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication, possess strong time management skills, and maintain professional demeanor & appearance.  Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years of age or have 3 full years of driving experience  Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required Schedule : Full-time Monday-Friday, including some Saturdays Why Choose Sterling?  Our mission is to attract, develop, and retain great people to deliver a memorable experience that creates lasting relationships, one customer at a time.
