Emish Market is a Ukrainian grocery store in Fife, WA, offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. In addition to our market, we operate a full-service café, bakery, and meat department, providing freshly prepared Ukrainian dishes, pastries, and specialty meats. Our goal is to deliver an authentic, high-quality experience to every customer.
We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to support daily store operations through receiving, ordering, inventory control, and merchandising. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, hands-on, and knowledgeable about European, particularly Ukrainian, food products.
What You'll Do
- Receive and inspect incoming goods to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper documentation
- Place and manage product orders to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Monitor inventory flow and stock rotation to minimize shortages, overstock, and waste
- Control merchandising standards and ensure products are properly displayed and organized
- Work closely with management and department teams to support store needs
- Maintain inventory records and assist with counts and audits as needed
- Ensure proper handling and storage of goods in compliance with safety and quality standards
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, occasional overtime as needed
Pay Scale: $22 - $25 per hour, depending on experience
Benefits

Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory management, receiving, or ordering (retail or grocery preferred)
- Knowledge of European and/or Ukrainian product assortments is highly valued
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work up to 1 hour per day in a cold chamber (~40°F)
- Ability to work up 15-20 minutes per day in a freezer environment (~23°F)
- Basic computer skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliability, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset
