If you have a true passion for pastry and a drive to grow your skills in a high-volume, artisan environment, it may be time to give The Daily a shot.
Were seeking a full-time Pastry and Bakery Assistant for our Inman Park team. This position is best suited for someone with 12 years of hands-on pastry experience (beyond basic baking), who thrives in a fast-paced setting and has the precision and efficiency to consistently produce high-quality goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow precise recipes for a variety of baked goods
- Execute high-volume production of pastries and cookies
- Slice bread and package items for service and delivery
- Assist in burger bun production and pastry shaping
- Participate in our multi-day naturally leavened sourdough process
- Complete end-of-day cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Support occasional deliveries as needed
- 12 years of professional pastry experience required
- Experience in high-volume production a strong plus
- Bread experience, especially naturally leavened sourdough, is a bonus
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation best practices
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Availability for evening shifts (until ~8 PM) and weekends is mandatory
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for long periods
