As a Patient Access Specialist , you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences by facilitating the registration process, verifying insurance information and coordinating patient appointments. Your exceptional communication skills and commitment to patient care will contribute to our client's mission of providing outstanding healthcare services to their community.

Patient Access Specialist Responsibilities :

• Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and empathy, creating a welcoming environment
• Collect and accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information into electronic medical records systems
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, ensuring compliance with payer requirements
• Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits, financial obligations and available payment options
• Schedule patient appointments, procedures and tests according to provider availability and patient preferences
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and obtain necessary authorizations as required by insurance plans
• Collaborate with clinical staff to address patient inquiries, concerns and special needs
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and best practices
