Work Hours

Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position
Arranges for the efficient and timely registration of Kuakini Medical Center and Kuakini Geriatric Care patients. Ensures that current patient information is collected and accurately inputted into the hospital’s information system and clinical systems. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of insurance plan codes and plan requirements. Ensures that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Coordinates admission, discharges, expirations, and transfers of inpatients with the Supervisor, Nursing and nursing units. Functions as patient advocate and liaison, interfacing with patients, families and staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
High school graduate required. Typing 40-50 wpm and computer skills required. Previous clerical experience in a health-care setting (e.g. doctor’s office, clinic or insurance company) preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
Regular Full-Time Starting Hourly Rate $21.06
Casual Part-Time Starting Hourly Rate $20.75
