They are on the hunt for a dedicated and experienced Senior Payroll Accountant to join their finance team. This pivotal role encompasses handling in-house, multi-state payroll processes for approximately 4000 employees, coordinating insurance liabilities, and conducting financial report reconciliations.

Focus :
Lead the processing of multi-state payroll in an accurate and timely manner.
Manage payroll reconciliation, insurance payments estimation, and liabilities.
Generate regular financial reports including weekly, quarterly, and annual statements.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and enhance current procedures.
Supervise and mentor payroll assistant staff.
Oversee transitions such as employee promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Administer benefits, including COBRA, Sick Leave, PTO accruals, and policy formulation.
Ensure payroll taxes are accurately recorded and remitted in collaboration with a third-party service.
Drive special projects that contribute to the finance team’s objectives.
Skill Set :
An Accounting or related degree.
Extensive experience in payroll accounting, preferably in the hospitality sector.
Knowledgeable in fixed assets management, including coding, reconciliation, and invoicing.
Proficient in bank reconciliation and handling high volumes of credit card / banking transactions.
Capable of supporting AP automation projects.
Experience in closing monthly and yearly financial books, including audit preparations.
Strong attention to detail for reviewing invoices and reconciliation tasks.
Familiarity with Sage, Epicor (accounting software), and PDS (Payroll).
Expertise in general ledger, accounts payable, and fixed asset software processes is crucial.
