Delta Dallas is partnered with one of America's fastest growing oil field support services companies headquartered in Ft Worth, who is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Payroll Manager will have oversight and be responsible for "hands on" processing of all aspects of end-to-end payroll for 1200+ employees throughout multiple states
Some, but not all, responsibilities to include :
Manage & mentor up to 2 direct reports
Responsible for weekly processing (end to end) for approximately 1200 employees (ADP)
Create & maintain SOP's
Ensure compliance with applicable payroll laws, regulations & company policies
Generate reports including tax filings, benefit deductions, etc.
Review & confirm payroll entries in GL for accuracy, as well as reconcile payroll related accounts
Conduct regular audits ensuring compliance with tax regulations
Ideal candidate will possess the following skills / experience / education :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field.
- Preferred Certification : Certified Payroll Professional
- 5+ years of experience in payroll management or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in payroll software, time and attendance systems, and ERP systems, such as ADP, Vista Viewpoint, or others.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, FLSA regulations, taxation and statutory requirements.
- Experience in handling payroll audits, inspections and compliance assessments.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices related to payroll and the ability to reconcile payroll with financial records.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex payroll calculation data.
- Highly developed customer service, interpersonal and professionalism skills.
