Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Payroll Specialist, is responsible for processing payroll for over 400 employees across multiple states on a bi-weekly schedule.
What you're responsible for :
- Establishing, maintaining and processing employee records and ensuring that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis.
- Reviewing changes for proper authorization and adherence in compliance with federal / state / local regulations.
- Verifying transactions prior to payroll transmission.
- Handling the administration of the electronic timekeeping and Payroll system.
- Finalizing employee’s file.
- Completing information requests by different Government Agencies.
- Preparing various reports through the report generator, as requested.
- Preparing bi-weekly payroll reports and submits the necessary information to accounting, benefits to HR.
- Collaborating efforts between payroll, human resources, finance, and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
