The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing payroll procedures, ensuring compliance with laws and tax obligations, supporting the accounting / payroll team, and maintaining accurate payroll schedules.
Expertise in payroll regulations and software, excellent organizational, motivated and fast learning. Must have previous restaurant experience.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage and guarantee weekly payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes to 700+ employees
- Supervise, develop and payroll staff.
- Review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practices
- Collaborate and communicate with the operation teams to ensure correct hours and tips are reported.
- Communicate actively with Operations, HR and Accounting departments
- Partner with HR and benefits to verify compliance
- Ensure systems reflect our current employee base, including wages, available benefits, sick and PTO
- Prepare regular relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
- Improve processes and make suggestions to improve collaboration and relevance of payroll information.
- Assist payroll system integration with Accounting System.
