The US Payroll Manager roleis a key leadership position within the finance organization. This leader will manage all aspects of the US payroll operations for our rapidly growing company and must be a strategic and tactical leader, with a track record of success. They will drive timely, accurate, and compliant US payroll; improving end-to-end processes and have the responsibility for payroll accounting. They should thrive in a fast-paced, team environment, and be a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves leader.
What You Will Own.
- Own the end-to-end US payroll processing including payroll related changes, tax deductions and benefits
- Responsible for accurate and timely compliance with local / state / county tax and labor regulations including variable pay, or other supplemental or non-recurring pay runs, and ensuring timely tax deposits
- Lead monthly US payroll close, prepare management reporting including key metrics, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Lead BambooHR payroll software implementation projects including smooth integration with NetSuite ERP and other systems
- Drive cross functional collaboration with our Finance, Legal, People and other teams for operational excellence (process improvement)
- Manage relationships with BambooHR Payroll provider
- Drive the review and audit work performed by your function, including auditing US payroll data (accurate wages, tax withholdings, deductions, and garnishments and process quarterly tax adjustments, end-of-year payroll tax and reporting compliance)
- Document and enforce internal controls in compliance
- Drive special projects, including process documentation, simplification, and team communications
