POSITION SUMMARY :
Completes and assigns scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of Baggage Handling Systems and / or Passenger Boarding Bridges; Mentors, trains and develops other personnel assigned to assist in maintenance and repair activities. Performs routine preventive and corrective maintenance and basic adjustments on pre-conditioned air (PCA) units.
Responsibilities
POSITION DESCRIPTION :
- Completes and assigns maintenance assignments involving but not limited to preventive, routine and emergency maintenance, clearing system jams; shift inspections, cleaning, and / or electrical and mechanical adjustments.
- Conducts daily and periodic shift inspections, cleaning, and diagnostics of PCA mechanical / electrical system components based on an established scheduled preventive maintenance program.
- Monitors system operation; diagnoses equipment failures; ensures equipment is running safely.
- Provides direction, guidance and expertise to other personnel assigned to assist in maintenance and repair activities; conducts training and mentoring responsibilities, assigns tasks, may act as point of contact in the absence of site management.
- Demonstrates professionalism in their appearance, manner and communications with both direct and indirect airport / airline personnel and coworkers in a clear and precise effort while maintaining site moral, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement standards.
- Reads and interprets repair manuals, computer-based programs, schematics, blue prints and manufacture

Computer Skills : Basic computer knowledge, at an intermediate level in working with Microsoft Windows to include : Outlook, Word, and Excel.
