Texas Children’s Hospital – Houston, Texas seeks an experienced physician with a proven clinical track record to serve as a Pediatric Ophthalmologist.
The Department of Ophthalmology at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas is seeking an exceptional provider to serve as a Pediatric Ophthalmologist, within the highly respected Department of Ophthalmology.

Position Highlights :
Join our nationally recognized team of pediatric specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical Pediatric Ophthalmologist at our Houston, Texas location :
- Provide contribution related to practice growth, support quality and safety, drive and maintain clinic excellence and innovation, and serve at a clinical physician capacity within the division.
- Ability to offer the latest and best in diagnostics and care for children with vision problems, no matter how simple or complex.
- Specialize in treating cataracts in babies and children, traumatic eye injuries, juvenile glaucoma, and a variety of other conditions and focus on patient-centered care.
- Interest in medical retina and / or developing a pediatric ophthalmic hospitalist service is a plus but not mandatory.
- Educate parents about their child's condition and treatment options, supporting them emotionally, providing resources and assistance, involving the patient and family in decisions, and advising based on what is best for each individual child.
- Expect to provide routine care, perform corrective and advanced surgery, as well as diagnose / treat eye disease while having the option to manage adults with strabismus.
- Participation in academic mentorship and teaching opportunities with residents and fellows at the TCH affiliate; Baylor College of Medicine.
- 5 days clinic (Main Campus or satellite), 1 day OR 7 : 30am-2 : 30pm (average times), 0.5 day admin time.
