Position Summary
The People Operations Generalist enhances the workplace by resolving employee relations issues, ensuring compliance, and supporting Human Resources (HR) initiatives. This role advances Empower's mission by fostering a positive employee experience and driving proactive solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Resolves employee relations issues, provides Tier II support for inquiries, and offers performance management guidance, including coaching and disciplinary actions.
- Manages employee data in the HR Information System, generates reports, streamlines processes, and trains users on effective system use.
- Ensures compliance with employment laws, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and coordinates with the legal department as needed.
- Oversees leave programs, manages ADA accommodations, and supports employees and managers to balance individual needs with business goals.
- Conducts exit interviews, supports onboarding, and leverages analytics to identify trends and recommend HR process improvements.
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
