The Mill Operations Field Trainer position is responsible for reviewing of training requirements, develop training content and supporting documentation (SOP, SWP), conduct training, maintain training records, and coordinate training activities.

Rotation schedule will be 2 weeks on site with 2 weeks off site

Reports to General Supervisor, Mill Operations

Responsibilities :

• Ensure all MSHA standards and documents required are completed
• Providing site orientation of all new Mill employees
• Provide employees with the vital safety equipment to safely complete their jobs and that all employees are familiar with the operations' safety and operating procedures
• Facilitate field training using the developed training modules, while crafting learning situations where trainees can demonstrate proficiency in advancing their knowledge and skills in areas
• Measure and evaluate trainee performance by assigning projects to trainees, conducting practice sessions and acquiring feedback from supervision regarding their performance after the training session. Assess operator to ensure training is tailored to their learning style and able to operate safely
• Provide follow-up on all training facets by issuing evaluations, maintaining frequent contact with supervision, conduct on-the-job training of plant personnel
• Maintain a high degree of oral communicative skills to encourage the active participation of trainees
