Job description

Pet Emergency Treatment Urgent Care is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Urgent Care Manager to join our team. As the Urgent Care Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Hospital Director in all aspects of leadership, planning, and operations within the urgent care department. You will oversee the day-to-day management of staff, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain the highest level of client service. Additionally, you will manage inventory, assist with budgeting, and contribute to the strategic growth and financial health of our urgent care services. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative, efficient, and compassionate environment for both our team and our patients.

Responsibilities :

Supports the Hospital Director in Leadership and Planning

  • Acts as a champion for change and identifies, documents, shares, and promotes best practices.
  • Participates in the planning and budget maintenance process.
  • Establishes goals for the practice and staff.
  • Creates the hospital CSR and Kennel Technician schedule in collaboration with the direct reports and manages labor costs to budget.
  • Meet regularly with direct reports and Hospital Director to discuss, evaluate, and plan for the welfare of the practice. Attend corporate meetings.

Supports the Hospital Director in Operations

  • Maintain urgent care inventory and help to maintain healthy financial accounts.
  • Partner with the Hospital Compliance Coordinator to ensure compliance with OSHA and AAHA
  • Performs quality checks and reviews of client files.
  • Monitors computer systems and works with Bright Solutions, Inc. to resolve technical systems / equipment issues.
  • Troubleshoots and optimizes usage of online operating system platforms (ezyVet, SmartFlow, Asteris Keystone Omni) and works with their support teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Supports the Hospital Director in People Management

  • Partners with the Hospital Director to address staffing needs including training and assessment of staff.
  • Partners with the Hospital Director to address hospital staffing including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and staff discipline.
  • Assists the Hospital Director with implementation of performance-based incentive and rewards and recognition programs.
  • Manages Urgent Care staff within their department ensuring they understand and follow hospital processes and protocols in accordance with the handbook and guides them in their roles for day-to-day operations and growth through mentorship and modeling.
  • Supports the Hospital Director in Client Service

  • Demonstrates and reinforces the highest level of client service.
  • Resolves client issues and escalations, oversees client follow-up communication.
  • Drives client visits through strategic client communication and local marketing efforts (i.e., Community).
  • Supports the Hospital Director in Financial

  • Manages accounts receivable and cash on hand, including performing invoice audit reviews for their department and the crematory.
  • Works with the AHD to ensure payroll is accurately completed and submitted for all Urgent Care staff.
  • Works with the AHD to complete accounts payable for their department.
  • Manages inventory and controls facility and administrative costs.
  • Manage department scheduling to ensure department financial viability, profitability, and growth.
  • Performs other duties essential to the performance of the hospital as assigned by the Hospital Director.
  • Compensation : Dependent on Experience

    Shift / Schedule : Four 10-hr shifts Wed-Saturday
