Join our innovative team and play a vital role in a patient's journey toward healing by ensuring accurate, timely results that drive better outcomes. In this role, you will : Administer radioactive chemical compounds. Perform patient imaging procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation. Accomplish computer processing and image enhancement. Provide images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation. Monitor patients' conditions and reactions during the scan, reporting abnormal signs to Physicians. Perform complex PET exams, consulting a Radiologist for appropriate scan procedures. Gain the patient's confidence by obtaining pertinent history, describing the procedure, and answering any questions Monitor the patient's physical condition during the procedure. Note any specific patient comments that might indicate the need for additional images or might be useful to the physician in interpreting the results of the procedure. Keep track of safety measures to protect patients while performing scans. Be careful or consider safety measures because patients and operators are constantly exposed to rays. Ensure that the equipment is properly working. Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot radiologic equipment carefully. We require : Diploma from a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB and / or ARRT-N) NMTCB(CT) and / or ARRT(CT) NYS License required.
