MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accomplish goals.
- Directs activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Studies market to determine customer needs, and guides sales strategy and pricing.
- Charged with hiring, training, coaching, and developing a world class sales team.
- Assigns accounts / territories to Account Managers.
- Meets with key clients, assisting Account Managers with building relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Analyzes data to formulate strategy and assist in development of policy and best practices.
- Drives profit improvement through collaboration opportunities with customers and internally with manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing. eliminate or improve upon unprofitable items.
- Represents company at trade association meetings and conferences to lead sales growth.
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with Account Managers and other subject matter expert resources.
- Acts as liaison between sales and other functional areas in the business.
- Sets and controls expense budgets.
- Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas for growth.
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
AUTHORITY LEVEL (if applicable) :
EDUCATION :
Required : Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year ; or eight years’ sales experience with at least five years in sales management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
