Job Description
An experienced Inpatient Pharmacist is needed to provide clinical and operational pharmacy services within a large, fast-paced inpatient setting. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a high-volume environment and confident in sterile compounding and medication verification processes.
Unit & Work Environment
Department : Inpatient Pharmacy
Beds Supported : ~600
Daily Census : 500–600
EMR : Meditech
Systems / Equipment : DoseEdge (required), Pyxis ES (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
Verify medication orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness
Perform and supervise sterile IV compounding following required standards
Support medication distribution workflows using DoseEdge and Pyxis ES
Provide clinical support to inpatient teams as needed
Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, policies, and best practices
Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and nursing staff
Required Skills & Experience
Inpatient pharmacist experience
Experience with DoseEdge
IV Sterile Compounding Certification
Strong clinical judgment and accuracy in medication verification
