Job descriptionLocation : 3221 General De Gaulle Dr. New Orleans, LA 70114 Pharmacy Operational Hours : MON - FRI, 8 am to 5 : 30 pm Provide exceptional and personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting services; advise and guide with empathy, confidentiality, and diligence Build effective relationships with local physicians and medical community to ensure accurate and safe dispensing of medication to patients Embrace a deep understanding of pharmacy operations and a drive for continual improvement, learning, and leading to provide the best possible patient care and empower the pharmacy team’s development Stay informed of regulations, retail pharmacy best practices, and knowledge of specialty diseases such as Autoimmune, Oncology, Hepatitis C, HIV, and more or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy. Successful completion of state pharmacy board examination Pharmacist license current and in good standing in STATE of LA A growth mindset and maintain any continuing education requirements. Minimum of 1 year of working Pharmacist experience (strong preference in retail / outpatient pharmacy) Specialty pharmacy Prior authorization experience Three years (preferred) of experience in the practice of pharmacy Preferred 340B background experience Experience managing some direct / indirect reports. Must be able to daily commute to pharmacy site and work the pharmacy operational hours listed. This position is moderately active and requires standing, walking, and other movement for the duration of the shift and lifting up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Ability to see distinctions in colors and shapes. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
