Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a travel assignment with a leading acute care healthcare system in Albuquerque, NM. This role will support inpatient pharmacy operations across both Women’s and Westside hospitals while working night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient acute care pharmacy experience, IV compounding expertise, and experience working with Epic and Pyxis systems.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medications accurately and safely
• Prepare and compound IV medications using sterile techniques
• Monitor medication therapies and provide clinical dosing recommendations
• Support anticoagulation, renal dosing, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic drug monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
• Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy regulations and safety protocols
• Utilize Epic and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
• Float between assigned facilities and units as needed within scope

Requirements

• Active NM Pharmacist License required (Pending license accepted with ETA within 10 days)
• BLS, ACLS, and IV Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Strong inpatient acute care pharmacy background preferred
