Job description
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs a variety of functions in the clinical setting :
Provides direct patient care, performs phlebotomy and EKG’s.
Collaborates with and works under the direction of the registered nurse to provide appropriate and safe patient care.
Utilizes the Hospital information system to order diagnostic tests and therapies and obtain patient information and test results.
Supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of the hospital.
Works within a diverse population of patients obtaining treatment for Addictions.
Education and / or licensure requirements :
High School Graduate
CPR certification within 3 months of hire; CPI certification preferred.
Certified Nurse Assistant
Phlebotomy Training / Certificate
EKG training and / or Certificate preferred.
Compliant with PPD requirements.
1 year hospital experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
