Materials & Process Lab Technician

This position is part of the materials and process engineering group supporting materials testing, process validation, and sample preparation.

This candidate shall have the ability to communicate and work together effectively with their peers, complete work in a timely manner, and be detailed oriented.

o The Materials and Process Technician will work on projects and provide support to the materials & processing engineering group. This position is responsible for the testing, data acquisition, and quality assurance of products. The technician will be involved with

cross-section equipment, analytical instruments, and testing equipment to ensure compliance to customer and company specifications.

Responsibilities

o Prepare test samples for analysis via cleaning, cutting, mounting, grinding, and polishing.

o Support engineers in experiments related to sample preparation such as molding and testing.

o Operate, validate, and maintain mechanical and analytical testing equipment.

o Thoroughly document, manage, examine, record, and save testing data records.

o Organize and maintain laboratory inventory, consumables, sample storage bins, and workstation areas.

o Understand, use, and continue to develop analytical skills, including process development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00 / hr.
