Summary of Position
The Visual, Audio, and Media Arts Department at RRCC is seeking a part-time instructor(s) to teach Professional Photography courses that may include in-person, remote, hybrid, hyflex and online. Responsibilities include instruction, student assessment, and other related instructional duties. This position reports to the VAMA Department Chair. The work schedule may be held days, evenings, and weekends at the Lakewood Campus location. May require hours outside of normal work schedule.
This position may work up to 28 hours per week, depending on budget and need.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent oral, written and listening skills.
- Experience in the field of Commercial Photography.
- Experience with professional editing software for photography, such as Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop
- Flexible teaching style to accommodate individual learning styles.
- Consider and willingness to create an environment based on equity, inclusion, and diversity.
- Ability to work with and motivate students.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn computer programs and learning management systems used in the department and on-campus, such as Desire2Learn.
Required Qualifications
and Eligibility for a postsecondary Career and Technical Education (CTE) credential, which requires :
4,000 hours of non-teaching occupational experience within the last 7 years
or 2,000 hours if the applicant holds a bachelor's degree or higher)

The hourly pay for this position is $1,149.00- $1,263.00 , commensurate with education and experience. This is a part-time, FLSA exempt position and may work up to 28 hours per week, depending on budget and need.

Medical insurance is offered to instructors and other variable hour employees who have worked, on average, at least 30 hours per week in a 12-month period. RRCC / CCCS uses an initial 12-month measurement period to determine medical benefit eligibility, and a 12-month standard measurement period. Student employees are limited to working no more than 20 hours a week when classes are in session, and may work up to 28 hours a week, during academic breaks or breaks between terms at the discretion of the college, and non-classified hourly and temporary staff are limited to 28 hours in a workweek, depending on budget and need. Sick leave is granted in accordance with , accrued at one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
Instructors and non-student hourly are required to contribute to at a fixed percentage of their salary and do not contribute to Social Security. RRCC / CCCS student employees are not eligible to participate in PERA. RRCC / CCCS offers three tax-deferred investment plans, including 401(k), 403(b) and 457. Employee assistance services such as counseling, professional coaching, financial planning, and more, are available to you and members of your household at no cost through the Colorado State Employee Assistance Program State employees are eligible to participate in which offers discounts for retailers and services and other benefits resources.
