Job Description
Job Description
TCSS (The Center Staffing Services) is seeking three dedicated and skilled Physical Therapists to join our clients healthcare team in Reno, NV and at their new location in Fernley, NV. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with various physical conditions, focusing on improving their mobility and quality of life. This role requires a strong foundation in physical therapy practices, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients;
- Review physicians referral and patients medical records and confer with patient and appropriate medical practitioners to plan, implement, and assess the intervention program;
- Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation;
- Test, measure and record in patients electronic medical record the patients strength, motor development, functional capacity, sensory perception, and respiratory and / or circulatory efficiency;
- Analyze patient progress and data, record in electronic medical record and modify interventions to achieve anticipated goals and expected outcomes, including referring to other practitioners as needed;
- Educate patients about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote health;
- Instruct patient in use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes as well as in treatment procedures to be continued at home;
- Discharge patient from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained; provide for appropriate follow-up care or referrals.
