Job Title : Transportation Design Engineer
Job Description
Design transportation improvement projects with guidance from a Sr. Engineer or Project Manager. Follow local, state, and federal guidelines for transportation, traffic, and drainage designs. Use guidelines from IDOT, ITE, NACTO, and MUTCD. Develop project specifications and quantity estimates. Develop horizontal / vertical and cross-sectional geometry for roadways and drainage projects. Apply the Highway Capacity Manual for traffic designs. Prepare plans and bid documents using tools like MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, Geopak, ArcGIS, HCS, Synchro, and Excel. Coordinate with utilities to document locations and analyze conflicts.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $78347.00 - $101504.00 / yr.
Annual bonus (predictable bonus program), hiring bonus based on level of experience (entry level 2,500) comprehensive insurance benefits, education & professional license reimbursement, 401k & ESOP plans, and individual ownership opportunity
