The Early Childhood Teacher is a critical member of the Scott Early Learning Center team, using Creative Curriculum® to enhance the physical, emotional, and cognitive growth of children through play and hands-on experiences. As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will develop individualized lesson plans and meet with parents to support the best outcomes for your students. As the only Early Childhood Center in McLean County with both COA and NAEYC accreditation and ExceleRate Gold Circle of Quality designation, you’ll be proud to be part of the Scott ELC team, and with our cohesive team style and supportive, high quality supervision, you’ll look forward to coming back each day.
Candidate qualifications :
- At least an Associate’s Degree in Child Development, or an Associate’s Degree in a related field with 18+ hours of ECE credits required.
- Gateways Early Childhood Education Level 4 and Infant Toddler Credentials required.
- Strongly believe that social skills, self-regulation, and emotional development are just as important as reading and math readiness in successfully preparing children for kindergarten.
- A warm, open communication style and can easily build rapport with both children and adults.
- Attentive to detail, organized, and self-motivated.
- Enjoy working collaboratively with a team to reach shared goals.
