Saint Luke's Hospital currently has an opening for a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant Float. The role of a physical therapist assistant is vital in enhancing patient care and quality of life. Working under the guidance of a physical therapist, these professionals are responsible for implementing patient care components, collecting treatment-related data, and collaborating with the PT to adjust care as needed.
Shift :
Monday - Friday 8AM -5PM
NO weekend, holiday
Active Physical Therapist Assistant License (MO)
Float : Platte City & Shoal Creek locations
Ortho / Post Op experience preferred
Key responsibilities include :
Delivering individualized, patient-centered treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
Selecting appropriate interventions according to the established plan of care.
Assisting in the periodic reassessment of patient progress and contributing to discharge planning.
Supervising treatment provided by physical therapy assistant students.
Participating in discussions and making recommendations for client care interventions with the interdisciplinary health care team.
Reporting any changes in patient status or needs to the supervising therapist promptly.
Delegating and instructing supportive personnel in the services to be provided.
Ensuring timely documentation in accordance with department policies and insurance requirements.
Utilizing professional judgment to maintain safety for self, patients, and others at all times.
Engaging in quality initiatives and performing additional duties as requested by management.
This role is essential for fostering effective rehabilitation and promoting patient education.
