None Physical Requirements This position requires regularly standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and / or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; working in confined spaces and / or at heights above four feet. Also involves some job-related travel (less than 10% of time); exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, burns, cuts / punctures, blood-borne or airborne pathogens, recombinant DNA or viral vectors, and combative / violent people. Shift Primarily Monday through Friday 8 : 00am -5 : 00pm. Hours could vary between 7 : 00am and 6 : 00pm. Job Summary The technician’s primary function is to assist in carrying out patient-related activities which are predetermined for each patient and assigned by the physical therapist.
The technician’s secondary function is to carry out departmental-related activities as determined by his / her immediate supervisor such as general cleaning, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, processing paperwork, making copies, and sending faxes. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities The ideal candidate will be dependable, have high attention to detail, be self-directed, and have excellent customer service skills. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education / Experience Healthcare experience in an outpatient PT / OT setting.
