Soliant is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Prattville, ALareafor the 2024-25 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position, and the district has openings in elementary, middle, and high school self-containedclassroom settings. Job Details :
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
Provide instruction in a self-containedclassroom, in either a high school or elementary school setting
Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
Create lesson plans according to relevant local and state curriculum standards
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Valid Alabama Special Education License required
Experience in a self-contained classroom setting preferred
Must be proficient in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) writing and lesson planning
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Commitment to meeting the unique needs of students with disabilities
