Pay rate : $20-22 / hr
Location : Tampa, FL
Job Description : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our team for a national steel manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining various types of machinery, equipment, and structural components. This position requires a high level of precision, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities :
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Assemble, install, and maintain machinery, equipment, and structural components
Perform precision measurements to ensure components are fitted accurately
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Proficient in using precision measuring tools
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects
