About the role :

This position is responsible for undertaking a broad range of duties in the workshop and welding at our Kewdale Branch.

Key responsibilities include :

• Assembly of both Industrial and Hydraulic hose
• Welding and metal fabrication for industrial and hydraulic hoses
• Manufacture and test hose assemblies in accordance with Australian Standards
• Follow procedures required for workshop duties - e.g. work orders, schedules, registers, fitting, cleaning
• Become familiar with and have a strong working knowledge of our hose management program (HMP)
• When required, picking and packing orders (for workshop orders)
• Receiving, unpacking and storage of goods in accordance with appropriate procedures
• Assisting with stock takes and stock management
• Use of forklifts / machinery to move goods
• Use and operation of power tools
• Assist with the maintenance and presentation of the workshop to ensure it is kept clean and tidy
• Where demands require, to assist in the warehouse and customer service / counter sales working with / as directed by the Branch Manager.

This is a  hands on  role that will require  physical manual handling  of industrial & hydraulic hoses and fittings for the purposes of preparing customer orders for dispatch.
