Job Description

• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and budgets to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, including supply chain, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Drive initiatives for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost savings.
• Prepare and present reports on plant performance to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in managing manufacturing operations (ideally in the chemistry field).

With approx. 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment the candidate will effectively oversee production processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities are essential for optimizing operations and enhancing productivity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for leading teams and collaborating with cross-functional departments.

About the plant :

The facility is 62.000 square feet and equipped for manufacturing and packaging disinfectants for various industries (from disinfectants with different active ingredients to general purpose cleaners). It also has capabilities for welding, testing, labeling, packaging and shipping. The facility is flexible, able to blend products in volumes from 250 to 5000 gallons and package products ranging from small bottles to large plastic totes and tanker loads.

Production runs M-F 7 : 30am-3 : 30pm

Team :

• 5 direct reports : Ops Manager, 2 Maintenance techs, 1 Quality Specialist, 1 Distribution Supervisor
• Overall 15ish FTE + Plant manager in the plant
