Plant Manager Responsibilities
Coordinates plant operations, aligning goals with company strategies for profitability and reliability
Hands-on, inspirational leader that has the ability to communicate a shared vision, setting expectations, providing feedback, coaching, and holding people accountable
Mentors to enhance knowledge and problem-solving across operations
Promotes a proactive (vs. reactive) culture
Utilizes KPIs to identify improvement opportunities
Manages departmental budgets, reporting deviations to the CEO
Enforces best practices in SOPs and robust training for operators / technicians
Expert in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and resolves issues to prevent recurrence
Oversees effective plant shutdowns, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion
and ensures qualified vendors / contractors
Drives change through the Management of Change (MOC) process
Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Plant Manager Requirements
BS degree in engineering is preferred.
10 years of operations leadership experience in a large-scale industrial, continuous process manufacturing environment
Experience with processing equipment such as evaporators, heat exchangers, centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chillers, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits, and instrumentation preferred
