Description
Plant ManagerThe Plant Manager oversees the operations of a tier one automotive blanking and stamping supplier. Lead the manufacturing facility to safely provide the best solutions and service to the supply chain and the customers. Define current and long-term objectives for safety, service, quality, and employees and deploying resources effectively. Establish and communicate clear goals, strategy, and deliverables. Support and foster a high-performance work team that encourages collaboration and continuous improvement. Exercise sound judgment in the execution of your job responsibilities. Essential Functions :
- Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectation through the oversight of shipping, receiving, production and maintenance activities
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
- Commit to plant safety procedures and hold others accountable for adherence
- Responsible for hiring, performance management, employee relations, monitoring employee productivity, training and disciplinary measures that fosters self-correcting employees.
- Responsible to enforce and support company policies and procedures, escalating matters of importance
- Responsible for ensuring ISO / TS standards and regulations are adhered to
- Regularly inspect the plant floor and equipment to ensure everything is working properly, to include the grounds and truck yard as well
- Work closely with all internal plant and corporate functions, including and not limited to sales, marketing, quality, procurement, finance, and human resources
- Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, get firsthand customer information; established and maintains effective relationships with customers
- Other duties as assigned by senior management
