PURPOSE OF JOB : To effectively maintain and repair the District's and facilities to help provide an atmosphere conducive to teaching and learning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- New installations.
- Installation of plumbing fixtures associated with the renovation of existing space.
- Capable of repairing and maintenance on plumbing systems.
- Installs and replace pipe insulation.
- Repairs, maintains and replaces water, waste and vent lines.
- Capable of installing ground rough in.
- Work assignments may require interior and exterior work in varying weather conditions.
- Work assignments may require working on ladders, scaffolding and lifts.
- Work assignments may be in any KCPS facility.
- Work assignments may include assisting with snow removal.
- Employee are expected to respond to emergency calls as needed; including nights and weekends.
- Possess and maintain a working knowledge of the Kansas City, Missouri and Missouri Building Codes.
- Able to respond to emergencies that may fall outside of normal working hours.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
