General Description / Purpose

A Master Plumber ensures projects are delivered successfully and on time, collaborating with engineers and subcontractors to define project needs and oversee staff performance.

Essential Job Functions

• Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes
• Installs, repairs, or replaces and repairs general plumbing components to include toilets, urinals, faucets, and drains.
• Installs, repairs, or replaces domestic hot and cold water lines.
• Installs, repairs, or replaces isolation valves, traps, etc.
• Leads troubleshooting efforts and repairs water, and gas distribution systems.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure efficient plumbing system installations
• Maintain accurate records of work performed
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Clean sanitary sewer lines
• Maintain accurate records on material and labor used
• Inspect jobs upon completion ad ensure areas are clean
• Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures
• Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc
• Perform any other duties and / or tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis
• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, etc. to determine project needs
• Read blueprints and follow building codes and regulations
• Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and perform repairs in a timely manner

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift heavy loads, work in awkward spaces safely and stand for long hours. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
