Construction Inspector

Halff has an immediate opening for a Construction Inspector . This position will be in the City of Denison, TX . The ideal candidate will bring construction experience with a focus on transportation working with, or for, public sector clients. This position will support the Chief Inspector by working with contractors to inspect, document and monitor activities to ensure compliance with specifications, plans, and other contract provisions.

The most suitable candidate should have experience with the following :

• Observing construction work for accuracy, proper work methods, and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
• Perform materials testing to ensure quality.
• Managing work or coordinating tasks of moderate size and complexity,
• Understanding contract documents and plans
• Drafting daily work reports; sketches, measurements, photographs and calculations for each pay item
• Understand Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) reqCoordinate potential field conflicts with Chief Inspector
• Review traffic control throughout the job site
