About the role :
As a QC Inspector you will perform inspection and testing activities to identify deviations that could create quality, safety, environmental hazards or malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
You will report to the QEHS Manager for Fuel Handling Equipment and Manufacturing based in Shoreview, MN. No relocation will be provided. We can entertain candidates able to work without sponsorship now and in the future.
Responsibilities :
- Comply with procedures, codes, specifications and regulations
- Review drawings, original manufacturer product documentation, procedures, and other assembly and fabrication documents
- Perform basic dimensional inspection using standard inspection equipment like calipers, micrometers, height gauges, depth gauges, pin gauges and thread gauges
- Inspect fabrications and assemblies for completeness and cleanliness
- Electrical and mechanical inspections of components, assemblies and weldments
- Communicate with manufacturing, engineering, quality and supply chain to resolve issues related to product inspection
- Identify and document items that do not meet specifications
- Prepare and archive documentation related to performance of inspections
- Pursue and implement opportunities for improvement
- Express safety concerns promptly
- Periodically support :
Manufacturing group for assembly, welding, and fabrication work
