Job Summary :
Our growing Norman, Oklahoma office is seeking an exceptional Plumbing Engineer / Designer to join our team. The Plumbing Engineer / Designer focuses primarily on the design of building related projects, including hotels, apartment buildings, retail / commercial spaces, and educational facilities using Revit and AutoCAD software. General Duties :
Design plumbing systems for various commercial buildings
Perform design calculations and select equipment for use in buildings
Prepare detailed design documents
Write / Edit Specifications
Research applicable building codes
Coordinate work with other disciplines
Site survey to determine and document existing conditions
Provide construction administration services
Skills / abilities :
Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, and MS Office
You have knowledge and understanding of codes, standards, and design guidelines
Good communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work
Ability to work independently or on a team
Excellent work ethic and attitude
Leadership ability and entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to travel during normal working hours
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred but not required
4+ years of experience without a degree (or 2+ years of experience with a degree) in the design of plumbing systems for various types of facilities
