COJK is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full-time Records Clerk position for the Operations Department. This position requires the candidate to work in the Seattle, WA office. Qualified Records Clerk candidates will be professional and possess strong organizational and communication skills, and a desire to produce a quality work product.
The Operations Department at COJK consists of the firm's records, library, and operations. The department's main responsibilities include incoming / outgoing document processing, file transfers, on-site facilities management, and reception responsibilities. These responsibilities are split amongst a team of clerks, with each team member being cross-trained.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming physical and electronic documents
- Assist in incoming and outgoing file transfers
- Perform reception tasks, including answering phones and setting up for in-office meetings
- Assist with on-site IT, including tech setups and in the office troubleshooting
- Perform library tasks, including downloading references, performing research, and processing machine translations
- Interact with vendors for issues escalated from Operation Clerks
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the firm's retention and destruction policies for legal documents
- Input and update document-related information in the firm's database or document management system
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed
