Summer Job teaching kids hands-on Science!! The Science Crew is looking for part-time teachers who share our belief in the power of quality education. We go into classrooms (ages 3–12) and present hands-on science programs..

Every class is between 30 and 60 minutes.

Depending on the size of the school 1 might only have 1 class, then move to another school and do it again. On other days you might be at 1 school all day teaching multiple groups. After a training period to learn our methods, documentation and practices, you will spend all your time TEACHING. There is no homework to correct, no lessons to plan, no meetings with parents.

Pay is based on the number of classes you teach in a day but averages about $25.00-$32.00 / hour.

You will use your own car for travel (We reimburse you)

REQUIREMENTS :

• Classroom teaching experience in an early childhood facility / school is a plus.
• Able to interact with students of all ages and skill levels
• You must have your own reliable vehicle that can transport equipment totes.
• Have a valid driver's license, and pass a local and national background check.
• Ability to think on your feet and be creative to keep kids engaged, while teaching.
• Be able to lift 35 lbs, you will usually have to transport 1-2 totes to each class
• You must be very punctual and reliable.
• You must be organized and efficient to run a fast-paced class.
• You need self-confidence, energy, and creativity and are assertive enough to control a class of high-energy preschool / elementary -age kids.
• You need to be able to work independently and communicate via email and phone with us on a regular basis and have reliable Internet access, and a cell phone.
