ArkemaNorth Kansas City, MO, United StatesThe Plant Engineer, reporting to the plant manager, supports the North Kansas City site in its objectives for Operations Excellence, Loss Control, Sustainability, and continual economic and market improvement through management systems. The North Kansas City site is comprised of 20 + / - operators, maintenance and staff. The Plant Engineer will be a key player and will be exposed to many different facets of the plant, engineering and the organization. The position is based in a 24 / 7 batch chemical plant and may require occasional "on-call" duties. Non-routine travel up to 20% . The plant is located with the metropolitan Kansas City area and close to downtown with plenty of leisure time activities and good BBQ .
Essential job duties may include :
HES Responsibilities :
- Serve as primary plant process safety focal point
- Confirm NKC plant compliance with relevant internal and external process safety standards including AIMS (Arkema internal), NFPA, PSM, etc.
- Conduct Root Cause Investigations for all SAFETY, HEALTH, and ENVIRONMENTAL incidents. Manage progress for corrective actions, and document all findings and results using incident tracking databases.
- Supports and participates in HES and loss control programs, such as CARES (behavior based safety), Safestart, THA, Starmap, SMART etc.
- Participate as a technical resource in all process hazard analysis and management of change review teams.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of site process safety information including technical calculations, drawings and diagrams, and technical reports
