Job descriptionBachelor's degree in engineering or science, finance, economics, accounting, or related field High proficiency in Excel, PPT, and Microsoft Office products Experience in managing complex financial models using Excel Familiarity with project documents of operating assets / project companies Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills Self-starter and proactive in making continuous improvements with motivation to learn Preferably, experience within the electric power generation industry, including asset management or operations roles
Purposes :
This role supports the commercial management of power plant and battery storage assets owned and operated by the company in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities :
Working closely with colleagues from Portfolio & Asset Management, Accounting, and Finance, under the direction of the Director - Portfolio & Asset Management, the Power Plant Portfolio and Asset Manager is responsible for the following :
- Providing support in preparing and reconciling monthly invoices to various counterparties
- Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets, proforma, presentations, monthly asset manager reports, and monthly reports to shareholders
- Supporting the oversight and compliance of all project permits and licenses, as well as assisting Legal in FERC's registration of management changes
- Updating and monitoring existing and new Resource Adequacy agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, Gas Purchase agreements, Insurance, Energy Management Agreements, and other contracts
- Assisting in controlling the project's finance / credit agreements documents and obligations, including letter of credit, collateral, and parent's guarantee
- Providing support for plant operational issues such as forced outages, unplanned expenses, and analyzing financial impacts
- Reviewing merchant power plant asset data and updating monthly earnings projections, as well as supporting merchant risk discussions with project partners
