Position : Loader Operator - Asphalt Plant
Reports To : Plant Manager
FLSA Status : Full Time
Location : Denver Metro and Surrounding Areas
Hourly Pay Range : $23.00 - $26.00
Sign-on Bonus : $1,000.00
Position Summary :
Operates and maintains loaders used in aggregate and asphalt production; maintains asphalt plant hopper levels to achieve production specifications, maintains stockpiles, loads trucks, assists with shoveling around plant and maintaining plant equipment.
Functional Responsibilities :
- Primary responsibility involves the safe and skilled operation of the loader (Cat 980 / 982)
- Strong understanding and daily compliance with Brannan safety standards and policies as they relate to a "Hot Mix Plant Loader Operator"
- Daily compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and policies
- The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily
- Assists in maintenance and repairs of the plant, conduct daily safety walk around making sure the plant is in safe working condition
- Ensure storage bins have proper material and proper amount so trucks load out in a timely fashion
- Ensure the plant is running at its maximum efficiency and if it is not, communicate this to the plant manager
- Multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism
- Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly
- Ability to follow directions
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Must have a "safety first" attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public always
- Ability to work various hours with overtime
