Job descriptionEstablishes, or recommends to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company. Recommends modifications to existing corporate programs. Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing average cost to actual production costs. Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities. Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets. Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions. Coordinate all audit activity. Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures. Establishes relations with banks and other financial institutions. Strong understanding of GAAP principles Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis Experience in Cost Accounting and regulatory reporting Experience in Plant Controller Knowledge of SOX and IFRS standards Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis Familiarity with financial software Epicor experience is preferred, but not required Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
