Summary
Position Overview : The Lead Teacher at Empower Learn Create at UC is responsible for planning and implementing a constructivist classroom environment tailored to the developmental needs of preschool children. This role requires a passionate educator who can foster a nurturing and stimulating learning atmosphere where children can explore, create, and grow. ELC at UC has a commitment to teaching with a social emotional lens. The environment supports the teacher's role with a beautiful natural play space and innovative art studio. Our hours of operation are 8-5 Monday through Friday. We are seeking a seasonal teacher for the summer of 2026 .
Duties
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities based on constructivist principles to promote holistic development in preschool children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and execute learning experiences that align with the center's educational philosophy and goals.
- Assess and monitor children's progress, providing individualized support and guidance as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, maintaining open communication and partnerships to support children's learning and development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and other relevant documentation as required by regulatory standards.
