Job Summary : Responsible for the management and strategic direction of the capital structure of the enterprise in support of the company’s goals. Responsible for driving the firm's capital markets strategies, managing investor relations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to enhance the firm's financial performance and market presence
Education : Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or related field. CPA / MBA or CFA preferred.
Experience : Minimum of ten plus years of experience in capital raising activities or investment banking. Strong candidates will have an extensive background in real estate as well as a strong aptitude for finance.
Skills : Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Deep understanding of capital markets, investment products, and fundraising best practices with a proven track record of successful capital raising activities. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements : Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation means available. Extensive travel may be required. Regular and reliable attendance. High proficiency in financial analysis. Attention to detail and accuracy a must. High degree of judgement and problem-solving skills are required. Must be self-directed and independent in work habits and comfortable with a high degree of accountability and autonomy. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of industry specific financial contracts, terms, interest rates and capital markets to minimize and manage capital risks. Understands and implements capital raising efforts, including SEC regulated offerings and other private placements. Understand debt and equity structures, promotes, and waterfalls to maximize investor returns.
Duties and Responsibilities : Develop and implement capital raising strategies to achieve company strategic goals, including market research, target identification, and competitive analysis. Build, maintain, and manage relationships with current and prospective investors, including but not limited to private equity, pension funds, endowments, family offices, banks and financial institutions. Manage the full life cycle of capital raising transactions, from initial engagement to closing, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Develop and manage investor materials, including pitch books, presentations, and reports, to effectively communicate the company’s value proposition. Collaborate with finance and legal teams for smooth fundraising operations. Monitor metrics, update fundraising progress regularly, and find improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards. Optimize the firm's capital structure and cost of capital (debt and equity). Responsible for capital planning for new development, acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures as well as for current operating properties. Ensuring effective and timely communications and reporting to the Board of Managers and its committees, government and regulatory entities, investors, joint venture partners, and lenders. Comprehend the company’s business model, mission, and vision to make appropriate recommendations and financial decisions for the company as a whole. Ability to understand economic conditions and their influence or impact on executing the company’s business plan and strategy. Effective communication of financial implications of the business model and strategy to others to assist them in making informed decisions. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
