Overview
We're seeking a senior commercial leader to drive the growth of Carbon Direct's power and electricity analytics business.
At Carbon Direct, we bring together world-class science, cutting-edge technology, and deep industry expertise to tackle one of the most critical challenges of our time : decarbonizing the global economy. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of decarbonized power. You'll bridge technical excellence with commercial strategy, leading the development and scaling of our consulting and digital product offerings.
You will own the go-to-market strategy, sales execution, and strategic engagements for this domain, working closely with the company's leadership team to position Carbon Direct as the partner of choice for clients navigating the transition to low-carbon power solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define and Develop Offerings : Identify unique opportunities for Carbon Direct in the power sector based on current and emerging client needs. Pinpoint potential high-value, high-impact consulting and product offerings for our clients. Utilize the knowledge gained through customer discovery to collaborate with technical leads to package and commercialize grid modeling, technology assessment, and related analytical services.
- Lead Commercial Strategy : Define and execute the go-to-market plan for Carbon Direct's Power business across consulting and digital products, leveraging deep familiarity with customers and competitors. Demonstrate strong commercial judgment and a nuanced understanding of technical issues to inform market positioning and growth strategy.
- Client Leadership : Build and maintain senior relationships with key accounts; identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities. Translate complex technical concepts into clear commercial value for clients and stakeholders.
- Drive Revenue Growth : Own and expand a book of business with large tech clients, technology providers, utilities, and other power market participants. Stay on top of emerging opportunities, dynamically adapt offerings, and forecast client needs to outpace the competition.
- Cross-functional Leadership : Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Science teams to shape scalable, market-aligned solutions. Work closely with the Chief Innovation Officer to help build and align the technical team, while maintaining primary responsibility for commercial strategy and execution.
