We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking anexperienced and accomplished Principal to lead high-performing teams,cultivate deep client relationships, and deliver innovative solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to play a keyleadership role in shaping the future of our business, driving both growth andinnovation. This is a full-time position located in our Cincinnati, OH office or virtual in the Nashville, TN area.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will :

  • Lead and grow the company's portfolio by developing and maintaining strategic client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Leverage your relationships, skills and experience to develop and grow our portfolio of consulting services, particularly environmental and / or geotechnical engineering.
  • Oversee large, complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet technical, budgetary, and client satisfaction goals. Serve as a senior leader on project teams and oversee all phases of service delivery.
  • Build and guide high-performance teams, fostering a collaborative environment. Mentor emerging talent and promote staff development through hands-on coaching and leadership during project execution.
  • Maintain authorized contracts and work with project managers to deliver the full life cycle of service to clients from opportunity development through payment for service.
  • Contribute to the company's long-term strategy by identifying new markets, services, and technologies, and leading proposals for high-impact projects.
  • Actively participate in professional organizations, representing the company, providing thought leadership, and influencing industry trends.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company and client Health & Safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate our foundational safety behaviors.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

MinimumSkills and Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, or other related discipline.
  • 20+ years of experience and relationships in environmental and / or geotechnical consulting, particularly within developer, heavy industry, commercial, mining, institutional, or energy markets.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth through client relationships and leadership in complex projects.
  • Professional registration or certification in applicable discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in both business development and project leadership, with experience safely and profitably leading high-revenue projects and client portfolios.
  • Understanding and knowledge of your local market and the companies operating within them, including existing relationships that can be leveraged into new business.
  • Familiarity with local and regional regulations and policies in your area of expertise.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and lead client and internal discussions effectively.
  • Proven leadership experience in building and managing diverse teams, mentoring staff, and fostering collaboration.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic growth, client needs, and company profitability.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Master's degree in in geotechnical, civil or environmental engineering, environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, or other related discipline.
  • Experience presenting at conferences or contributing thought leadership within professional organizations.
  • A passion for continuous learning, staying at the forefront of industry developments, and contributing to innovation within the company.
