Overview
Field Technicians are responsible for installing and maintaining hardware and software systems, troubleshooting technical issues, providing end-user support, and ensuring the security and performance of our cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work in varied environments while providing exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
Install and maintain hardware and software systems within cloud-based environments.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to cloud platforms, data migration, cybersecurity, and networking.
Provide technical support to end-users and ensure prompt resolution of their concerns.
Monitor the performance and security of cloud-based systems and implement necessary measures to maintain optimal functionality.
Conduct system upgrades and collaborate with other IT professionals to implement and maintain cloud-based solutions.
Collaborate with clients, team members, and technical experts to address and resolve technical challenges.
Follow safety protocols and best practices when working with cloud hardware and software systems.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Solid knowledge of cloud platforms, data migration, cybersecurity, networking skills, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
Certification in cloud technologies from vendors such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, or CompTIA Cloud+.
Educational background in computer science or a related field, along with relevant experience and training.
Familiarity with cloud computing tools such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and other leading cloud providers.
Experience with management solutions like SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, customer self-service solutions, and real-time traffic management.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate with clients and team members.
Willingness to adapt to rapidly changing cloud technologies and user needs that drive technological innovation.
Demonstrated leadership ability to collaborate with team members and guide less experienced employees in the future.
Proficiency in scheduling and routing tools, mobility solutions, and data storage and management techniques.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to effectively troubleshoot technical issues.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills to meet client and corporate expectations.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Ability to work in varying environments, including outdoor settings and different weather conditions.
Capacity to stand for extended periods and work at heights when necessary.
Capability to lift, move, and handle equipment and hardware weighing 30 to 50 pounds, occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
This role will be hybrid, in the Denver Metro area.
